No one who ever gets out of a bad relationship looks back without wishing they made the move sooner.

5. Missing the chance to see your favorite musicians.

"Nah, dude, I'll catch Nirvana next time they come through town." Facepalm.

POLITICS - Freedom Day 2013: The South African dream, still deferred

Perhaps there were too many noble ideals. Perhaps the founding fathers were too romantic about our future and therefore set unrealistic and unachievable goals. Maybe we ran out of good luck, or good leaders, or good faith. What if we were never the miracle nation anyway, but just an average people who attained freedom because the status quo was no longer sustainable? Maybe that’s why we are failing to be what we envisaged we would be 19 years ago? Democracy shaped a united thriving nation, which is now turning on itself. MY LIFE: A Weird Dream I Had Last Night

In a dream last night, I'm having a sword fight with a masked man.
He says something in Spanish in Antonio Banderas's voice as we fight.
Me: "Sorry, friend, I don't speak any Spanish."
Him: "You should learn to speak a second language."
Me: "I did! Sesotho!"
Him: "A lot of good it does you here!"
Me: "Well, it did me a lot of good in Africa!"
Just then I push him away. He jumps to the window, and before jumping out, says: "Well, señor, you're not in Africa any more!"
